Monday Update

I have not seen Jamie in 4 days (was up in Michigan with Marc's family for Henry's (our 8 month old) baptism). So to see Jamie this afternoon was amazing! He's Jamie! They were able to put a smaller tube in his trach and he can talk a little better--we can hear his voice a little more. He doesn't talk too much but he's able to answer our questions and even make jokes! He is beyond ready to get his feeding tube out and today I told him that as soon as he did and was eating again I'd bring him in all of his favorite food and he replied "Beer". He's working on swallowing so hopefully very soon he'll be able to eat! He's real close.

The vascular surgeon has decided to wait a couple more days to work on his foot--it seems to be making some progress on it's own. So we just pray that it continues to heal and the antibiotics keep fighting any potential infection.

He also told us tonite that his left knee was hurting and we all replied...'that's great!' Poor Jamie....no sympathy for us on feeling pain on that left side!! We're trying to keep his spirits up--now that he's more awake and alert, he's very aware of his injuries.

So please just continue to pray for his courage, PATIENCE, and peace.

Dear Brenda & Mike,
Jenn. Frisina told us about Jamie and this website. The Univ. City UMC choir will be praying for Jamie by name at the 3 choir rehearsals each week. SO GLAD that so much progress has been made! May God bless you all with strength for the days ahead.
take care, Karen & Matt Guild

Tell Jamie that I'm sorry for his pain...and happy to hear about it at the same time!
We are moving into our new offices this week, so let him know that we are putting him in with the girls! And we'll stock up on that "snobby" beer(as he puts it!) for him!
Please let us know when we can visit, as we are all wanting to see him.
WOW has not been the same without him...my guild misses him!

Brenda - Just learned of Jamie's accident and what amazing progress he is making! Sounds like a miracle! I know you and Mike are exhausted. My prayers are for each of you. Be strong and I just know that Jamie's miracle will continue. He is in good hands (God's and the hospital), plus he has Guardian Angels too! Thinking of you - Glenda Moore Bedwell

Great to hear more good news and that Jamie is getting back to himself!!

Jamie, we need to do some catching up, I didn't know you played WoW! I have a million questions for you about it now, the most important being, of course, Horde or Alliance? :)

Wishing you lots of continued great progress so you can get that beer!
