Wednesday Post-Surgery Update

Jamie is awake from his surgery and is doing well. The doctors let us see him at 1pm; he is sleepy from the anesthesia, but is alert enough to look around and recognize everyone.

The nurse told us Jamie might be moved to a transitional room in the next day or so. Transitional rooms still have a high patient-nurse ratio and, but are more private and have less restrictive visiting hours.

Jamie is making such amazing progress! Everyone who checks his blog, leaves him notes, and sends him love and prayers makes a huge difference. Jamie truly has a wonderful group to draw strength from: family, practically-family, friends and even people who have never met him, but want him to get better.

Brenda, Mike and Sarah - we just found out about Jamie's accident today. It was good to see Mike and Brenda at the hospital. We'll pray for Jamie's speedy recovery and for all of his family. We were so glad to hear how much he has improved in the past 2 weeks. Love to all...

I don't know your family, but shared the ICU Waiting Room with Jamie's parents for a few days as my father recovered from a brain bleed and craniotomy in the bed next to Jamie's. I've never witnessed such unquestioning peace and faith in the face of such an emotional and traumatic event. My father was blessed by the nightly singing around Jamie's bed. What an inspiration you all are - - thank you. We are so very happy at Jamie's progress!

Dean and Sarah,
When I heard about Jamie I started to pray for you all. My desire is that I could be there for you as you have been there for me. Jamie has been blessed to have family like you and I feel in my spirit that he has his hand on him and you. I miss you and hope to hear from you soon.
Your brother in Christ.
